If you’ve embraced the natural and sustainable care products from Natural Carol, in this post, we’re offering some simple tips to maximize the lifespan of your solid cosmetics and make the most of their properties.
As you might already know, one of the great advantages of our solid cosmetics is that they do not contain water, which means they are better preserved and do not require synthetic preservatives. This not only makes them more durable and natural but also concentrates a higher amount of active ingredients, making them more effective.
Proper storage is key to ensuring that your solid cosmetics last longer and retain all their properties.
Moisture is undoubtedly one of the main enemies. Therefore, in the case of shampoos, make sure to store them in a dry place after use. Using a wooden soap dish with grooves to allow air circulation and water drainage or opting for a mesh bag can be two good alternatives.
In the case of facial care sticks, make sure that the cleanser is dry before putting it back in its container. Although, as you may have noticed, due to its composition rich in natural oils and butters, unlike other soapy cleansers, this one does not retain moisture.
If you are using the serum and moisturizer, apply them after thoroughly drying your face with a soft towel and after use, avoid storing them near heat sources like radiators.
In addition to storing them correctly, the way you use our solid cosmetics also influences their durability. The stick format is very practical, and due to its high concentration of active ingredients, a small amount is enough to achieve the desired results. Sliding the stick across your face with just one pass, you’ll notice how it absorbs quickly.
In the case of shampoos, wet your hair well, moisten the bar, and rub it directly onto your hair until you get a lather. One or two passes will be enough.
